Salivary gland hypofunction and taste changes can have a high impact on the quality of life of the patient, affecting comfort, taste, swallowing and speech. The patient is also at a higher risk of developing dental decay and infections within the mouth. Dr Whitefield will investigate the cause of the hypofunction or taste change and manage the complications.
